The past few days..
December 28, 2007
Well, I’m sorry if some of you might be coming over to this site almost everyday, seeing no updates. Haha. Well you see, yours truly have been well busy, with much things happening around, that he tends to run out of ideas and in no right mood to blog. But fret not I guess, 2008 is coming, so a brand new start. Yay.
Hah. Talking bout 2008, what’s up with the announcement on top of this entry regarding new years’ day? Well, you just have to wait for that too.. Ouh come on.. It’s just a mere four days to go.. I’m sure noone will kinda care abt it.. but for those who cares, thank you I appreciate it much.. but you still have to wait for new year. Smiles. All I can say is that it’s gonna be something cute, something.. that will make you go ala Lil Miss Paris, “That’s hawt”. And it’s something awesomely fantabulous. I just love that word, fantabulous.
Well anyway how’s Christmas to all? It would be a holiday break for those who doesn’t celebrate, and the time of giving for those who celebrate. Haha. Tell me about it, those who strongly objects to celebrating it cuz ur race doesn’t need you to celebrate Christmas. Well in my opinion, when we’re celebrating it, it’s not as if we’re celebrating Christmas in a religious way, we’re just soaking in the atmosphere, the joy of giving, the joy of being with your friends, enjoying each others’ company.
Talking about Christmas, I really do miss last year’s Christmas party; World Peace 06 organised by a bunch of frens and I. With little budget, we secured a place, turned it all homely and christmas-ey, and enjoy the party with strangers that became our friends. Hah.
And an Asian Idol is Born.
December 17, 2007
So our very own home-grown Singapore idol, is the first Asian Idol.
It came as a shock to everyone I guess, knowing that the names the judges kept calling out is Mike from Indonesia, Mau from Philippines and Jac from M’sia. However, they kinda forget the fact that, eventually, it’s not the judges comments that counts, but the millions of voters SMS-ing. And looking at this, it’s for sure that Singapore have a high chance of winning. It’s the kind of stategy, survivor-style.
And as I have forecasted last night, there’s sure to be an uproar across all media in the six countries. Just read the tonnes of comments written in this entry. And the point in this kinda active volcano entries; always just read the comments, have a laugh at their English whatsoever that you find amusing, BUT never ever get involved in it. Cuz once you made comments in them, you’re sucked in to this whole whirlpool of sharp hurting comments spewing all across.
Well anyways, 3 cheers for our own Asian Idol. Woots woots.

Singapore 2010
December 11, 2007
Know nuts about Singapore 2010? Okay, I thought I’m the one who’s not been in the know of things like this. The SEA Games going on right now, wooh, and now it seems everyone’s talking about Singapore’s standing in the games.
Well anyways, about Singapore 2010.
Singapore is one of the candidate city for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games. We’re already shortlisted as the top 5 countries who will be vying for the chance to host the first Youth Olympic Games in 2010 and guess what, the recent update shows that we are second behind Moscow. Just SECOND. And this means that we have a high chance of hosting YOG 2010.
Won’t we feel proud about having Youth Olympic right here in Singapore, in 2010? Support the bid.
Max Loves Bus Rides.
November 10, 2007

Used MaxMobile modem during: Bus service 174 from Holland Road to Boon Lay interchange.
Any disconnections: Nope.
I’m loving this compact portable modem thingies. At the size of your iPod, you could just connect them to your laptop and access internet connection anywhere, everywhere. I still can’t figure out why I can’t access my Hotmail while using them though while other email service like gmail can still be accessed. It’s great to have it with me as I’m usually out carrying my laptop wherever I go.
Art.
November 7, 2007
It somehow looked surreal, leaving you in a hypnotic state. It catches your attention, and you’re glued to watching it. You then begin to observe, without a blink of an eye. You admire the beauty.
The beauty of art.
SMRT yo.
November 2, 2007

I’ve brought Max along to take the train with me and Nec. Boy do Max still serve me well enough. I was on the train traveling from home to school, and Max accompanied me with his internet connectivity. Woots!
I’m one of those that’s like constantly on the go (haha right) and one who commutes by train most of the time. Often the times you’ll see tons of commuters being so engrossed in playing with their toys, be it PSP, DS or just listening to their MP3. Now that I’ve got Max, life would be so much bigger in fun in a sense that I can use Nec when I’m in train, surfing the net, bloghopping and whatnots!
Now say after me, Cool or whattttttt. Read the rest of this entry »
Unleash the Diva in You.
October 31, 2007
A cuppa coffee with a bunch of friends one night led to the topic of bitch fits and divavaviour alike. Of bitches and diva wannabes. These are getting more and more common and visible in the bitch-eat-bitch world of today.
So have you ever felt sick and tired of being a plain ole’ boring you? Ever felt like being a somebody but don’t know where or how to start? Fret not. Here’s a list of steps and guidelines in getting you started to be that awesomely fantabulous diva one would hate to death.
But before that, here’s some requirements you should have acquire before moving on to being a true blue diva.

Let’s Learn ABCs.
October 28, 2007
Do you know?
That since young, you’ve been taught the ABCs somewhat the wrong way?
When you were in kindergarten, teacher taught you to break down the words into syllables. Like Tues·day, Wed·nes·day, ve·ge·ta·ble. And then when you grow up, you learnt that Wednesday isn’t pronounced that way but [wenz·day] instead. This is Singapore. Haha.

I took up Better Pronunciation for Better Speech as part of my general elective module this semester and boy do I feel soo upset and cheated. It’s like I got into kindergarten learning to pronounce wet-ness-day and veggie-table and I felt good saying that just cause it has more than two syllables.
And then on to my secondary school years, we struggled saying “the”, “them”, “then” and “their” with our tongue out cause my English teacher forced us to do that for text-reading. Say white as wahyt and she’ll instantaneously correct you to hwahyt.
Now I realised forgotten is pronounced as [fuh-got-n] without the “e” sound before the letter “n”,
Expensive is pronounced as [iks-pen-sive],
Excited as [ik-sahy-tid] and
Conclusion as [kuhn-kloo-zhuhn]. Read the rest of this entry »
Comfort Food
October 27, 2007
Comfort food just means food that is simply prepared and associated with a sense of contentment. It might be however ugly and unappetizing but it taste awesome to cure your fuctup moments. And comfort food is usually just unhealthy. Well heck it, you’re all pissy and stressed out about something, you need your freaking comfort food. Hah.
For me, sautéed chicken franks with a dash of paprika would be just it. Franks are a must-have in my freezer. So anyway I just felt like preparing something up today, something that I suddenly have a craving for.
My version of potato salad! Muahahah. Basically, how I prepare food is, by throwing in stuffs I like. I just like onions, they give that extra zing. So my ingredients for the potato salad would be potatoes, mayo, spring onion, onion, chicken ham, lemon juice, italian herbs and paprika, salt and pepper to taste.
I like my mayo, the Japanese brands kind. Those squeeze bottle of white substance. It taste much much better. The italian herbs can be bought at any supermarkets, those lil bottles that come with a red cap. The lemon juice gives it a tinge of sourness, kinda balances the thick, somewhat tasteless potato salad. Onion gives it the crunch. And it looks much appetizing with strips of chicken ham in it. Paprika and black pepper powder gives it a lil more color to the salad.
And there you go, a potato salad that can be popped into the fridge, and be eaten as and when you feel PMS-ey. Somehow, from a full bowl of potato salad that I prepared this evening, it’s left with only a few cubes now. Haha. So what’s YOUR comfort food?
Cool Shit.
October 25, 2007
